Warranty Policy

Limited Warranty

Alpine Electronics of Australia Pty. Limited is pleased you have purchased an Alpine component or system. We are dedicated to superior craftsmanship and quality workmanship and our premium products come with this 12 month warranty in the unlikely event that you should encounter a problem.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonable foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The Alpine warranty is in addition to the rights and remedies imposed by Australian Federal and State legislation and should not in any way be interpreted as excluding, restricting or modifying any Federal and State legislation.

 

How do you obtain Warranty Service.

If you do experience a problem, your first point of contact should always be your nearest Alpine Dealer or Service Agent.

1. You must provide a detailed description of the problem and a list of associated components installed in your vehicle.

2. You must provide suitable proof of purchase for the product. This includes a copy of the original invoice showing purchase date, model and serial number or a copy of the Warranty Registration Form signed and dated by an Alpine Dealer.

Your Responsibilities.

You are responsible for delivering the product to the nearest Alpine Dealer or Service Agent and for the payment of any shipping charges to the Alpine Dealer or Service Agent.

Alpine’s Responsibilities.

Alpine will at its option repair or replace the product with a new or reconditioned product without charge.

Products Covered.

This warranty covers Alpine Car Audio and Audio Visual products purchased from an authorised Alpine Dealer in Australia only.

Length of Warranty.

This warranty is in effect for 12 months from the original date of purchase.

Who is Covered.

This warranty is offered to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to subsequent purchasers.

What is Covered.

The Warranty covers all defects in workmanship or materials, including parts and labour required to correct the problem.

What is not covered.

This warranty does not cover the following;

1. Damage occurring during shipment to Alpine or any Alpine Dealer or Service agent. Damage during shipment is the responsibility of the carrier.

2. Damage caused by accident, abuse, negligence, misuse, improper connections, improper operation, or failure to follow the instructions contained in the owner’s manual.

3. Damage caused by acts of hostility or terrorism.

4. Damage caused by Acts of God, including without limitation, earthquake, fire, flood, storms or other acts of nature.

5. Service performed by an unauthorised person, company, organisation or service agent.

6. Any product which has the serial number removed, detached or defaced.

7. Any product which has been adjusted, altered or modified without Alpine’s consent.

8. Any product not distributed by Alpine Electronics of Australia Pty. Limited in Australia.

9. Any product not purchased though an authorised Alpine Dealer.

10. Any product that has been determined to contain an excessive amount of dust, or dirt or unreasonable environmental conditions.

Limited Implied Warranties.

Alpine Electronics of Australia Pty. Limited shall not be held responsible for loss of use or any form of consequential loss whatsoever.

*This full 36 months warranty is in effect from the original date of purchase when purchased and installed by an Authorised Alpine Australia Dealer only. Alpine’s 12 month warranty is applicable when the product is purchased from an Authorised Alpine Australia Dealer but is not installed by an Authorised Alpine Australia Dealer.

 

Advanced Navi Station Limited 3 Year Warranty ^
^This full 36 month warranty is in effect from the original date of purchase when purchased and installed by an Authorised Alpine Australia Dealer only. Alpine’s 12 month warranty is applicable a Navigation system is purchased from an Authorised Alpine Australia Dealer but is not installed by an Authorised Alpine Australia Dealer.

 

Addendum to ‘What is not covered’ conditions:

11. Alpine does not and cannot warrant that the Navigation system operates error-free. Calculations may occur when using the Navigation system caused by changed road and environmental conditions, and/or incomplete Data.

12. The warranty on the Navigation System shall not extend to an exchange or refund due to misspelling, omission of letters, or any other cosmetic discrepancy in layout found in the Navigation System and its Data.

 
Alpine Marine Products Limited Warranty

Addendum to ‘How do you obtain Warranty Service’ conditions:

2. You must provide suitable proof of purchase for the product. This includes a copy of the original invoice showing purchase date, model and serial number.

Addendum to ‘Your Responsibilities’ conditions:

You are responsible for delivering the product to the nearest Alpine Marine Dealer or Alpine Service Centre and for the payment of any shipping charges to the Alpine Marine Dealer or Alpine Service Centre, as well as the cost of removing and refitting the product.

Addendum to ‘Products Covered’ conditions:

This warranty covers Alpine marine products purchased from an Authorised Alpine Australia Marine Dealer only. Pre-owned, ex-demonstration, and products purchased from overseas or not originally supplied by Alpine Australia are excluded.

Addendum to ‘Length of Warranty’ conditions:

This full 12 months warranty is in effect from the original date of purchase when purchased from an Authorised Alpine Australia Marine Dealer.

Addendum to ‘What is not covered’ conditions:

11. Any product that has been determined to be exposed to unreasonable environmental conditions such as an excessive amount of water, humidity, moisture, sunlight or vibrations.

Only Alpine marine products purchased from an Authorised Alpine Australia Marine Dealer, are covered by our official warranty. Subject to warranty terms and conditions.

The comprehensive Alpine Australia Limited Warranty ensures that if you have a problem, it will be resolved as quickly as possible.

Furthermore, if there’s a product update or recall, your Authorised Alpine Australia Dealer will be there to support your purchase long after your money is handed over.

Alpine registers the serial number of every Alpine product which we sell in Australia, as well as the Authorised Dealer the product was originally delivered to.

Alpine products purchased through unauthorised dealers are NOT covered by the Alpine Australia Products Limited Warranty.

If you purchase on-line, from overseas or from an unauthorised dealer and you have a problem, you’ll need to return the unit to the seller for any warranty repairs.
