The retro clock and calendar display conveys the unique style and ultra-cool character of the iDA-X001. It can be displayed at anytime, and when powered off it continues to be displayed until the car ignition is disabled. So even when you’re not listening to music, the clock is visible.

You will love how easy it is to find songs fast with Quick Search. Just twist the large Jog Dial to move forward or backward in search lists, or press and hold the SEARCH button to access the alphabet search, letting them find the desired song quickly. What’s more, get access to ALL the iPod search options: artist, album, song, genre, podcast, audiobooks and composers.

The iDA-X001 is the first Head Unit with a user interface designed and developed with input from Apple.

This 12 month-plus collaboration allowed Alpine to create a Human Machine Interface (HMI) around the iPod, allowing iPod owners to naturally and easily navigate through all their iPod content in the car.

Album Artwork

The USB Full Speed connection not only offers super-fast access to your iPod and superior sound quality, but also adds other important features like Album Artwork display.

The Album artwork stored on your iPod will be displayed with the choice of two different viewing modes.

Visual Customisation

Change the illumination from either red or blue. Plus, select an alternate background or use Alpine’s iPersonalize website to download a custom wallpaper.

Dual Illumination Setup

This unit has dual illumination built in, so you can choose the appearance. With button lighting set to red and the display to blue, the illumination nicely matches with a wide a variety of vehicles and in particular European cars.
