Alpine has combined their in-vehicle sound system experience with Audyssey’s acoustical technology into one unprecedented component—including 24-Bit DAC, digital time correction and selectable crossover frequencies.

State-of-the-art CDA-9887 with MultEQ processing

The MultEQ processing built into this unit automatically corrects acoustical distortions in the car, reproducing music with an accuracy and clarity you’ve never experienced before.

The unit also has high-end sound enhancing features such as 6-channel digital time correction, parametric and graphic EQ, adjustable crossover and 24-Bit DAC.

MultEQ Precise Calibration
To achieve IMPRINT sound the optional calibration kit is required. The kit includes the PC software and precision microphone to analyse the acoustical environment and correct
the problems. When music plays, the cars acoustical problems are cancelled, for near perfect linear response.

Manual System Tuning
The IMPRINT system fully caters for users that prefer to manually tune their system. The 6-Channel Digital Time Correction enables precise compensation for speaker placement and the 3-Way/2Way crossovers provides full bandwidth control from the head unit. MultEQ is turned off in manual tuning modes.

The car interior is an acoustical challenge. Interior surfaces reflect sound while other surfaces absorb it. IMPRINT Sound overcomes the car’s inherent acoustical challenges, and also improves the sound stage, tonal balance and definition. MultEQ solves all this by using more than 500 correction points along the frequency spectrum. This optimises the sound reproduction to the specific vehicle listening environment with much greater precision than has been achieved up to now—reproducing the music as it was meant to be heard throughout the car.
