“NO SONG” Error Message
If you encounter the error message “NO SONG” when your iPod is connected to your iDA-X300, CDE-9882Ri, CDA-9884E or CDA-9886 please make sure that you iPod’s firmware is the most current version. If the “NO SONG” message still appears on your head unit please follow these steps to overcome this problem.
- Download the free Audiobook file HERE
- Save this file on your PC
- Connect your iPod to your PC and open iTunes
- Add the Audiobook file to your iPod library
- Sync your iPod
Your head unit and iPod will now perform normally.
Note: If your iPod is storing over 20,000 songs these solutions may not work.
