iPod Full Speed - find your music faster!

The most important feature when using an iPod® in the car is the ability to quickly find the music you want. Alpine Electronics has answered that call. The Full Speed Connection™ for iPod feature is Alpine’s third-generation solution for integrated iPod use in the car.

The new Full Speed Connection for iPod feature connects via a simple cable (KCE-422i) that directly links an iPod to one of Alpine’s six 2006 iPod Full Speed source units, without a bulky hideaway box. The Full Speed Connection for iPod capability lets users control their iPod through the head unit, with the experience being like directly interfacing with the iPod itself. Enhanced features include faster data transmission for quick and easy file navigation, as well as full-tag artist, album, song and playlist information displayed directly on the head unit, all while charging the iPod battery.

The Perfect FIT - Alpine's OEM upgrade solutions

Do you have a vehicle with an integrated colour display and want to add additional sources to your vehicle? Alpine Electronics are answering the needs of new vehicle owners with the Factory Integration Technology (FIT) or the product category that Alpine calls "The Perfect FIT". This year Alpine has already released two products (VehicleHub and VehicleHub Pro) and have an advanced OEM audio processor on the way.

VehicleHub is for those users that are happy with their current sound system, however would like to integrate advanced sources to their vehicles such as reversing camera, iPod, Digital TV Tuner or a DVD Player. VehicleHub Pro takes the concept further and allows the user to build a full sound system by including an AM/FM Tuner, an internal 50W x 4 amplifier and 3 pre-outs. Linked to one of Alpine's advanced processors or digital theatre amplifiers, you can build a complete 5.1 channel theatre system. All this without altering your dashboard!

Alpine Electronics is revolutionising the car-audio market with the introduction of the industry's first subwoofer systems based on Linear Array Transducer (LAT) technology. Two new Powered LAT Subwoofer Systems one for larger vehicles (PLV-7) and one for smaller vehicles (PLT-5) will be available to upgrade the bass response of your vehicle. The systems are based on Tymphany Corporation's revolutionary LAT technology and Whise Automotive's innovative Ultra Reflex enclosure design technology. These two incredibly powerful yet compact units integrate Alpine's new advanced digital switching amplifier (PDX) with a radically new form factor loudspeaker, all housed within a cutting-edge enclosure. The larger Powered LAT Subwoofer System was named an Innovations Award winner at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the USA.

Both models use Tymphany's LAT subwoofer technology, which has a cylindrical form factor rather than the traditional cone/frame assembly. The LAT subwoofers, paired with Alpine's new PDX digital amplifiers, have been engineered with a patent-pending Ultra Reflex enclosure design from Whise Automotive of Australia. As a result of the development partnership between the three companies, each individual component of the PLV-7 and PLT-5 was specifically designed from the ground up to achieve optimum performance for the car audio market. The resulting systems deliver ground-pounding, tight bass with no mechanical vibration and clean, accurate control for an exceptionally powerful and uncompromised sound experience.

Next time you're trying to dial in the specific frequency of your '06 Alpine Headunit (with Quick Search), just hold the quick search button for 2 seconds to activate the control. When you've found your desired frequency, just press the mode button to return to normal operation.

Confused about Alpine's latest offering of OEM upgrade solutions and the differences between them? The difference in which product is correct for you is in the application.

Later this year, Alpine will also launch the most advanced OEM Integration Device available, the PXE-H650. Using the standard factory head unit, this device will allow you to add high quality amplifiers and speakers to the system and make them sound like they should.

The PXE-H650 can make any factory radio sound like a high-quality Alpine unit. The product is a sophisticated audio processor that allows for advanced sound tuning of factory equipment by correcting the acoustical problems in any vehicle. The PXE-H650 is equipped with AntEQ™, to remove the factory equalization, and Audyssey MultEQ XT™, to optimize the sound quality of the system.

To coincide with the launch of the VehicleHub product, Alpine is making available interfaces to adapt to a wide range of vehicles. Below is a list of vehicles that we currently have adaptors for.
